The Women's Nike Air Max 1 ’87 in a Denim Aura colorway has an upper with a base of midnight navy denim. Lighter denim with a faded, over-washed look overlays the side panel, eyestays, and heel. Overlays of white denim with brown stitching adorn the mudguard. Brown laces that match the mudguard stitching crisscross over a brown denim tongue with exposed foam. The sock liner is midnight navy, while the insole is brown with sail-colored Nike Air branding. We also see Nike Air branding embroidered on the brown leather tongue patch and on the denim heel counter. What we particularly enjoy about this shoe is that this eclectic upper rests atop a dependable sole. A midsole of sail-colored foam houses visible air and sits on a midnight navy rubber outsole patterned with flex grooves and waffle lugs that absorb impact and offer traction.
